Milan (April 7-13, 2025 during Design Week “Connected Worlds”)

Third edition for CosmoIAm, the emotional narrative census of youth, created by Cosmopolitan with the collaboration of students from some of Italy's most prestigious academic institutions. After investigating identity (2023) and the future (2024), this year's edition is dedicated to the desire to read, analyze, discover the theme of connections. Cosmopolitan asks students to tell in absolute expressive freedom, through the tools of their education (video, photography, illustration, comics, installation, artwork, drawing).
 

The big open questions you can creatively answer:
What does it mean to live in a connected world? What does it mean to be connected? What is your relationship to happiness? How do you experience it? Are you ever overwhelmed, tired, crushed by hyperconnectedness? What desires move you about being connected? Geographically, virtually, sexually, in relation to others and the environment? Does being always connected really mean being close? How much infinite potential does being connected have positively and negatively? Etc.
 

What is required?
A maximum of 10 works will be selected from each academic reality - photography, installation, comic strip, drawing, artwork, video on the theme,
All works will be uploaded to a Cosmopolitan IG carousel made in collaboration with the School of Design.
From these 10 you will be asked to identify/select the 2 works you would like displayed at the exhibition + 1 video. So: 2 works + 1 video for each academic reality involved will be displayed at the exhibition and you will be the one to select them. The other works, however, all will have visibility on IG.
