Design X Designers presenta una selezione di elaborati degli studenti del Sistema Design del Politecnico di Milano: Scuola, Dipartimento e POLI.design. Sono progetti sviluppati dai giovani progettisti durante le loro carriere, nei corsi di studio e nei master. Si tratta di una sintesi ragionata che combina metodo e creatività, che racconta lo sviluppo di una competenza e trasmette la costanza con cui i docenti accompagnano le allieve e gli allievi della Scuola affinandone i talenti. Ogni progetto rappresenta la mediazione necessaria tra le discipline, gli strumenti e le attitudini che all’interno di un percorso accademico guidano la formazione dei futuri designer. Tavole e prototipi, video e testi invitano all’attenzione, all’ascolto, all’approfondimento di idee che sono pronte ad affrontare le sfide della realtà contemporanea. Anche per questa ragione la mostra non è allestita in una location ma negli spazi della Scuola, teatro quotidiano del confronto tra generazioni, culture, saperi, comunità e valori che il Politecnico di Milano incarna, difende e condivide.

This exhibition presents a selection of works by the students of the Design System of the Politecnico di Milano: School, Department and POLI.design. These are projects developed by young designers during their careers, courses and masters. It is a reasoned synthesis that combines method and creativity, which tells the development of a competence and transmits the constancy with which the teachers accompany the students of the School refining their talents. Each project represents the necessary mediation between the disciplines, the tools and the attitudes that guide the training of future designers within an academic path. Layouts and prototypes, videos and texts invite to the attention, to the listening, to the deepening of ideas that are ready to face the challenges of contemporary reality. Also for this reason, the exhibition is not set up in a location but in the spaces of the School, the daily theater of the confrontation between generations, cultures, knowledge, communities and values ​​that the Politecnico di Milano embodies, defends and shares.

Il Sistema Design presenterà la sua offerta didattica e formativa e le opportunità di ricerca e servizi attraverso questa esposizione interattiva che vedrà il coinvolgimento e l’ingaggio dei visitatori. Il pubblico troverà e potrà collaborare con studenti e collaboratori di Scuola e Dipartimento che saranno alle prese con la realizzazione e finalizzazione di un oggetto fisico legato al libro nella sua forma primitiva, quella analogica. Il libro e la sua lettura, qui presente con titoli fondamentali e fondanti della storia del design nazionale e internazionale, coinvolgerà e accompagnerà il visitatore che, insieme a tecnici, professori e studenti del Sistema Design del Politecnico di Milano, potrà sperimentare, ascoltare e creare, riappropriandosi di una dimensione fisica della cultura del design.

The Design System will present its educational and training offerings and research and service opportunities through this interactive exhibition that will involve and engage visitors. The public will find and be able to collaborate with students and collaborators of the School and Department who will be grappling with the realisation and finalisation of a physical object related to the book in its primitive, analogue form. The book and its reading, here present with fundamental and founding titles in the history of national and international design, will involve and accompany the visitor who, together with technicians, professors and students of the Design System of the Politecnico di Milano, will be able to experiment, listen and create, reclaiming the physical dimension of design culture.

In occasione dell’edizione 2022 del Salone Satellite, la Scuola del Design, insieme al Sistema Design del Politecnico di Milano, ha invitato il Prof. Ico Migliore a curare lo spazio istituzionale della Scuola coinvolgendo i giovani collaboratori dello studio Migliore+Servetto Architects. I talenti del design Politecnico, riconosciuti con premi e menzioni negli ultimi 4 anni, sono stati chiamati a raccontarsi attraverso prototipi e progetti. Risulta uno scenario eterogeneo ma armonico, una storia di sperimentazioni progettuali che diventano realtà anche grazie al contributo di una Scuola che ha preparato e continua a formare designer che trovano spazio in campi diversissimi, pronti a disvelare, con successo, questi talenti!

On the occasion of the 2022 edition of the Salone Satellite, the School of Design, together with the Polimi Design System, invited Prof. Ico Migliore to curate the institutional space of the School, involving the young collaborators of the Migliore+Servetto Architects studio. The Politecnico design talents, recognised with prizes and mentions over the past four years, were called upon to tell their stories through prototypes and projects.  The final result is a heterogeneous but harmonious scenario, a story of design experiments that become reality also thanks to the contribution of a School that has prepared and continues to train designers who find their place in very different fields, ready to unveil, with success, these talents!
