TRANSFERS AND COURSE CHANGES - Admission rules for the Laurea Programmes (eq. to Bachelor Degree Programmes) AY 2026/2027

COURSE CHANGES: 

Students enrolled in the Laurea Programme (eq to Bachelor Degree Programme) of the School of Design at Politecnico di Milano in Design del Prodotto Industriale, Design della Moda, Design degli Interni, Design della Comunicazione and Interaction Design

The change to another Laurea Programme in Design may occur through:

a) a merit ranking or 

b) taking the Design Admission Test (TOLD) and obtaining a position suitable for enrolment.

Students enrolled in the Laurea in  Design del Prodotto Industriale, Design della Moda, Design degli Interni, Design della Comunicazione who apply for a change to the laurea in Interaction Design, must submit a valid English language certificate (by the application deadline);

Students of foreign nationality, holding a diploma obtained abroad, enrolled in the Laurea in Interaction Design who apply for changing to the Laurea in Design del Prodotto Industriale, Design della Moda, Design degli Interni, Design della Comunicazione, must submit a valid B2 level Italian language certificate (by the application deadline);

 

TRANSFERS: 

Students from the Schools of Engineering and Architecture of the Politecnico di Milano:

The transfer to a Laurea Programme in Design may only occur by taking the Design Admission Test (TOLD) and obtaining a position suitable for enrolment

Students from other Universities: 

The transfer may only occur by taking the Design Admission Test (TOLD) and obtaining a position suitable for enrolment(*)

THE MERIT RANKING IS THEREFORE RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR STUDENTS OF THE SCHOOL OF DESIGN.

(*) Please note that it is in the student’s best interest to submit official documentation (downloadable from their home university’s online systems) in order to allow the Commission to clearly understand the content of the courses listed in the study plan for a consistent evaluation related to the desired programme.
