DOCUMENT LIST AND PROCEDURE FOR THE FINAL EXAMINATION
Final examination will take place on Thursday February 15th at 9.15 .
Final evaluation will be based on two items:
- the speed date presentation
- an A3 group's project portfolio
SPEED DATE EXAM
"Speed date" documentation is left to groups: the presentation has to be based on a 6 minute time and on the surface of two desks. Please remember to plan your presentation to be effective. You will give and receive marks for it by the other groups.
Due to the fact that the exam will be held in a "speed date" form, students are kindly asked to arrive in the classroom in time to avoid delay for all of us (some of you has to get a flight in the afternoon).
GROUP'S PROJECT PORTFOLIO
On the same date groups are requested to deliver an A3 portfolio describing their product-service and activity in the course (both printed and pdf format).
The group portfolio will include all the options the students have studied so far, with preliminary sketches and proposals.
Number of pages for the A3 portfolio are free but between 20 to 75.
Every portfolio has to be a "design product" - i.e. graphically designed, bind, complete and exaustive in the content - as this will be considered as part of the communication of the product system.
To help in organizing your material the following conceptual lay-out is offered. Portfolios must contain:
-a cover
-an index
-an introduction (brief description of the project aim)
-the following chapters:
1.Slam and his competitor
(including an analysis of the actual Slam position in the market with a clear reference to the problematic the group is revealing and intend to solve)
2.A vision on the future
(including considerations on actual trends and megatrends that could be useful for the product-service system the group is intended to develop)
3.Our Slam
(including general considerations on the strategies and visions intended to be applied on the actual Slam)
4.The XYZ (name of the group's product or service)
(including a full description of the project into the following 2 paragraphs: “preliminary sketches and proposals” and “the project”)
In the final chapter the group will explain his global strategy with considerations on retail environment and product-service communication.
Groups are free to give each chapters more or less number of pages according to the specific characteristics of any project.
Changes at the described lay-out are possible if previously discussed with teachers and assistants.
At 13.00 hours students will be informed about marks and evaluations on their job. Marks will be based on consideration of individual efforts and presence all along the course and on individual-group final results. They may be different among the component of any group.
